Getting to Mont Saint Michael one evening, during a long #ontheroad trough France, just September 29, the anniversary of St. Michael, it isn’t something that happens every day.
Get there at sunset and then have the first impact with these colors, it’s even less common.
With these colors and this atmosphere we walking to discover the streets of the village.
We thought we’d find it crowded with people intent on celebrating this evening instead in this autumn weather, we were able to discover it in all its splendor.
A quick dinner, after having parked with care and understand exactly the movement of the tides in the coming hours and we go in the to discover the most characteristic streets.
It’s one of the most visited places in the world, tourism is king, but at this period it’s already out of season and you can see its true essence.
The lighting is spectacular only for this is necessary to go to Visit Mont Saint Michael.
As usual, we arrived without reservation and without programming, but we were able to sleep at an acceptable price within the fortress. Great!
Certainly not luxury accommodation, but very pretty, clean and decorated with care. Waking up here, at the sunrise with thousands of things to do and to see, it has an indescribable charm.
This is the view from our room early in the morning with the tides have just receded.
Our room is on rooftops and on the other side overlooking the fortress.
Beautiful, stately, majestic, … very reminiscent our Holy St. Michael.
Also enjoy the beach and see the drawings that the tides have created in the sand is interesting.
At this hour the streets are still deserted, perfect for pictures and especially to enjoy this place which is always besieged by hordes of tourists.
I’ll often say that traveling off-season reserves always pleasant surprises.
There are amazing glimpses…
Obviously drag up there Roberto is quite a feat.
He must always take pictures everything!
Every small detail!
On the other hand… when we found again this place completely desert?
The results are perfect... but at this “rapidity” we need one years here!
Finally we arrived. You can visit basilica and take part in a very interesting guided tour.
The architecture is really impressive.
Valeria and I are attracted to this beach. Needless to say, right?
Look a little! I knew that you could do!
We never have time! I know that I can’t go to walk in the mud, but what a show ! OK! As usual … it will be for next time!
